IS THE REIKI RETREAT?
third annual bay area reiki retreat, 2009

locally grown organic lunch, large group reiki share, and sacred ritual.
this is a warm, safe space to explore our reiki questions, and spend

WORKSHOP:
FINDING RENEWAL IN REIKI'S SIMPLICITY
returning to reiki's essence
in this interactive workshop, we will renew and refresh ourselves
in the
simplicity of reiki as it relates to boundaries, intention, and healing
reactions. we will discuss situations that we have found challenging,
and
hear stories to re-connect us with mrs. takata¹s teachings. by
the end of our time together, we'll connect with a deeper experience
of the simplicity and innate wisdom of reiki, and be ready to continue
giving treatments feeling renewed, refreshed and revitalized. |

WORKSHOP:
REIKI & SELF-HYPNOSIS
strengthening our connection to reiki
reiki and hypnosis are both natural gifts
available to everyone, and hypnosis can powerfully enhance our reiki
experience and abilities. in this interactive workshop, we'll learn
the basics of using self-hypnosis to increase our connection to
reiki. we'll each create an individualized, meaningful reiki self-hypnosis
program for ourselves, and also enjoy a group hypnosis session for
relaxation, grounding, and focus, during which we can implement
our own personal suggestions. we'll each take home a hypnosis cd
to continue the work we begin here.

WORKSHOP:
REIKI AND CREATIVITY
reclaiming the artist within
as human beings we can’t help being
creative. our birthright is to imagine, choose, create, and celebrate
what comes from our own vital essence, yet our culture seems to
believe that only certain people can be artists and the rest of
us are doomed to consume. in this workshop, we will apply reiki
to our limiting beliefs about our own creative powers. as we make
simple prayer flags, we’ll transform our old stories into
blessings and release our renewed creativity to the four winds.
no arts experience necessary, all materials provided.

SHU
CHU REIKI
reiki share
no reiki gathering would be complete without...lots of reiki! (laughter)
we'll each spend time on the table, basking in the luxury and delight
of many reiki hands on the body at once. we'll have several reiki
tables going, and will alternately experiment with working as a
group in silence, with spontaneous sharing, and also with sound
healing. time seems to suspend itself during these intense mini-sessions
- a great way to revitalize ourselves and honor the playful &
sacred nature of reiki. |

OTTERS,
ANYONE?
honoring the otter within
the birth of the retreat was synonymous with my strong medicine
dreams of river otters. long story short, otters appeared everywhere,
in bookshops, riding atop yellow cabs, and at green gulch, to place
the retreat - I've journeyed with otter ever since. vibrant reiki
has adopted several otters in scotland, and is committed to donating
five percent of all profits to IOSF, to support the caretaking of
and education about otters. in
native teachings, otter embodies playfulness, and is a model of
nourishing and caring for each other - exactly the spirit of the
retreat. |
