learning reiki

everyone can learn reiki! what's involved: a reiki teacher, or master, performs a sacred initiation called a reiki attunement, which transfers the ability to act as a reiki conduit to the student. in addition to reiki attunements, we'll spend time in class sharing reiki ideas, history, techniques, and (of course!) practicing reiki together. by the end of each reiki course, you'll have new healing tools that will last for the rest of your life.

in the week before your reiki intensive, I'll email out a reiki teaching scroll for you to review. in class, we discuss the scroll enjoy a succulent potluck nibble, float blissfully through reiki attunements, and enjoy the magic of laying on of hands and experiential practice time. all classes include a reiki teaching scroll, potluck gnosh, reiki certificate, discounted student sessions, and are held in a safe, nurturing setting where we enjoy days of laughter, community and deep fun. please enjoy the entire 2010 class schedule below, listed in 'to do' order (twinkle). welcome to reiki!

shoden level: reiki I
two day intensive, 2pm-7pm

this introductory reiki class connects you to reiki and teaches the fundamentals of reiki ideas, history, techniques and practice. at this level, you will begin to experience reiki energy, and be able to treat yourself and others with their permission for the rest of your life. two class meetings allows us to enjoy ample time to practice, connect, and be supported in a gentle and playful way. all classes include potluck lunch, experiential practice time, reiki teaching materials, and your reiki certificate. feeling reiki flowing through your hands for the first time is magic! $195 details
   
okuden level: reiki II
two day intensive, 2pm-7pm
mar 20-21, jul 17-18, oct 9-10, dec 18-19

this class is a beautiful deepening of reiki, and introduces distant reiki and the first three symbols. at this level, you learn how to connect reiki with a deeper understanding of the physical, mental and spiritual bodies. reiki II allows you to release trauma, and send reiki through space and time (distant healing techniques). we'll spend time working on the table, and also practice five different distant reiki techniques, including a reiki crystal grid that you take home with you. all classes include potluck nibble, experiential practice time, reiki teaching materials, and your reiki certificate. $325 details
   
shinpiden level: reiki master
two day intensive, 2pm-9pm
april 17-18, oct 23-24

shinpiden can be translated as walking the mystery. you will be able to teach reiki to others via the attunement process - incredible magic. shinpiden is a commitment to walk the reiki path in your life, and the self undergoes deep healing on all levels, as your ability for intuitive discernment increases. this level is about spiritual practice and exploration. all classes include potluck lunch, experiential practice time, reiki teaching materials, and your reiki certificate. shinpiden students are welcome to attend any reiki I, II, or III class to observe or refresh, for life. reiki shows up so magnificently at this level - wondrous strange, and exhilarating! fourteen hour intensive, $595 details
   
komyo reiki: japanese upgrade for reiki masters
two-day intensive, 11am-7pm
june 12-13

komyo reiki emphasizes usui's original perspective of reiki ryoho as a spiritual practice and beautiful gift, and is distinct from western reiki. founded by japanese shihan inamoto sensei, komyo reiki shares with western reiki masters shoden, chuden, okuden and shinpiden levels. we'll practice 14 traditional japanese reiki techniques, in addition to giving and receiving all komyo levels of reiju (attunement). karuna reiki®: karuna I&II master

karuna reiki® is an expression of the evolving nature of reiki - delicious! karuna, which means compassionate action, adds 8 amazing new reiki symbols, and is a beautiful deepening of reiki practice and connection to spirit. you will be ready to teach karuna I & II master levels by the end of the course, and will have explored the shadow self, practiced chanting, toning, and attuning, and be registered with ICRT. prereq is one year experience as a reiki master. karuna is magic!

lightarian reiki®: level I&II class

distant attunements: usui & lightarian reiki®

just as distant reiki treatments can be sent from afar, so can reiki attunements. although it's strongly preferable to work together in person (for several reasons), there are circumstances when distant attunements are a good fit. I've sent distant attunements to students in russia, england, and the middle east, and we've discovered that a detailed pdf of the teaching materials, email mentoring, distant attunements, and mailed certificates works smoothly. NOTE: this is a creative, controversial approach to reiki training, and not traditional. if this feels resonant, let's work together to explore the why and the how. email me
