learning reiki in 2012 - welcome!

everyone can learn reiki! what's involved: a reiki shihan, or teacher, performs a sacred initiation called a reiki attunement, which transfers the ability to act as a reiki conduit to the student. we'll spend time in class sharing reiki ideas, history, techniques, and (of course!) practicing reiki together. you'll meet new healing tools that will last for the rest of your life.

in the week before your reiki intensive, I'll email out a class reminder with all the nuts and bolts. in class, we discuss reiki, float happily through reiki attunements, and enjoy the magic of laying on of hands. all classes include reiki teaching materials, reiki attunements, practice time, certificate, and are held in a safe, nurturing setting. classes are listed here in 'to do' order for 2012.
 
shoden level: reiki I class
two day intensive, offered bimonthly, noon-8pm, $250

this introductory reiki class connects you to reiki and teaches the fundamentals of reiki ideas, history, techniques and practice. you will begin to experience reiki energy, and be able to treat yourself and others for the rest of your life. all classes include experiential practice time, reiki teaching materials, reiki attunement, your reiki certificate, and are held in a safe and nurturing space. feeling reiki flowing through your hands for the first time is magic! details
 
okuden level: reiki II class*
two day intensive, offered quarterly, noon-8pm, $350
feb 11-12, apr 7-8, jul 21-22, oct 20-21, dec 1-2

 this class is a beautiful deepening of reiki, and introduces distant healing (sending reiki through space and time), and the first three reiki symbols. we'll spend time playing with crayons, working on the table with our new symbols, and also practice six different distant reiki techniques, including a reiki crystal grid that you take home with you. class includes practice time, reiki teaching materials, reiki attunement, reiki grid, and your reiki certificate. shinpiden level: reiki master class*
two day intensive, offered twice annually, noon-8pm, $695
mar 17-18, aug 18-19
shinpiden can be translated as walking the mystery. some take this class to raise to enhance their spiritual path, and some learn shinpiden to start a healing practice, or teach reiki. you'll learn the master symbol and practice attuning people to reiki - incredible magic. shinpiden is a commitment to walk a spiritual path in your life, and the self undergoes deep healing on all levels. includes review of 12 major reiki techniques, pre-class journaling, teaching materials, practice time, attunements, and your reiki certificate. reiki shows up magnificently at this level - wondrous strange, and exhilarating! healthy boundaries for healers*
one day intensive, taught twice annually, noon-8pm, $195

most folks drawn to healing are sensitive, empathic, and intuitive, and life can feel challenging until we learn to clearly understand and articulate where our boundaries are, and how to lovingly and firmly enforce them as healers, and as humans. class includes exploration of different kinds of boundaries, personal work and journaling, and lots of practice setting safe and healthy boundaries using playful techniques for the visual, kinesthetic, auditory and energetic learner. sacred stone healing & reiki*
one day intensive, taught once annually, noon-8pm, $395 (includes 30 healing crystals for you to take home)

communicate with sacred stones in a reiki way! you'll learn how to speak directly with crystals, practice five stone cleansing techniques, program your stones with reiki, receive a shamanic stone attunement, make your own stone healing mat, create your first intuitive, full-body layout that combines reiki and crystal healing, and take home the stone people that you work with in class. this class is FUN! karuna reiki®: karuna I&II master class*
three day intensive, taught once annually, noon-8pm, $895
nov 16-18

karuna reiki® is an expression of the evolving nature of reiki - delicious! karuna, which means compassionate action, adds 8 amazing new reiki symbols, and is a beautiful deepening of reiki practice and connection to spirit. you will be ready to teach karuna I & II master levels by the end of the course, and will have explored the shadow self, practiced chanting, toning, and attuning, and be registered with ICRT. karuna is the most gentle and powerful reiki I know - magic! lightarian reiki®: levels I-VI*
accelerated workshops, two hours per class, $195 for lightarian I&II, $95 each for lightarian III, IV, V&VI
private classes, in person or distant
lightarian reiki is about intentionally accelerating your spiritual growth, with strong connection to healing masters. lightarian reiki®, based on the teachings of ascended master buddha, deepens reiki practice beyond the vibration of usui and karuna reiki®. no new symbols are introduced in this reiki modality, which instead focuses on working directly with healing masters and the higher self, and broadens the spectrum of healing abilities. (*prereq reiki III AND karuna levels I and II, or the karuna-equivalent 'buddhic boost,' included in your training if needed). details
