SHODEN CLASS: REIKI I I’m very honored to play in the reiki river with you! (smile) one of the interesting things about reiki is how it brings us together in exactly the right way at exactly the right time – each class is unique, and amazing.

before class, I'll email confirmation of date, time and location to enrolled students. I’ll be ready to open the door fifteen minutes before we officially begin, and really encourage you to arrive early, to get situated and comfortable, and so we start on time. after your class, please allow time to be gentle and loving with yourself - expect that you might want rest time after our class meetings.

we'll connect with each other via sharing, breathwork, and introductions, and explore what reiki is, history of reiki, hand positions, energy centers and flavors of reiki. we'll enjoy time to integrate and rest on our lunch break, and float blissfully through group class attunements, and the magic of laying on of hands.

we'll also work with reiki meditation, byosen scanning, reiki techniques, and group reiki in this hands-on workshop, processing your attunement in a safe and nurturing group setting. by the end of the intensive, you are attuned as a reiki I practitioner in the traditional usui lineage, and receive a reiki certificate, reiki scroll and support from your reiki family and myself.

things to bring to class:

1. printed reiki I scroll (emailed to enrolled students)

2. your class payment in an envelope, check or cash (preferred)

3. comfortable clothes that make you feel good, for a day of play

4. a pillow or blanket to nest up - we'll be sitting on folding chairs, padding helps

5. water bottle - a hallmark of energy work is the need to drink lots of water

6. healthy, happy-making snacks to keep you going through the day (sharing is fun)

7. a plan for our hour lunch break both days (bring food, find a restaurant, etc)

8. a journal to record your impressions from the attunement

we will enjoy days of laughter, sharing stories, energy work, and a healing space full of love and light. always, reiki engineers the perfect experience for us, so that we feel held up and supported in our interactions together. (smile)
